An evening that can hardly be topped. This is true in every respect for the award ceremony of the ” Frankfurter Preis”. The most influential people of the German gastronomy industry meet in the overwhelming ballroom of the Kölner Flora. For here, in addition to the “grand award of gastronomy”, as it is also called, the newcomer prize of the German Institute for Community Catering e.V., the “Axel Bohl Award”, is also presented.
The Axel Bohl Award is an all-rounder. It is awarded to projects and companies that create new impulses and stand for original and forward-looking approaches to solutions – wherever they may be needed in the gastronomy. The jury for the award consists of seven high-ranking gastronomy enthusiasts from theory and practice who are passionate about innovation.
We are therefore all the more pleased that the visioncheckout managed to convince the jury and win the Axel Bohl Award. The criteria according to which it was evaluated were originality and significance for practice. The fact that the visioncheckout was able to stand out against its competitors, especially in these categories, makes us proud and shows that the topic of “autonomous self-checkout” is just starting to take off.
We are very happy about the award and about every contact that was made that evening!
