For optimal utilization, we recommend placing them centrally at the exit of the serving area. This allows guests to easily use the next available visioncheckout.

For four or more units, we recommend a self-checkout area with visioncheckouts positioned opposite each other.

This ensures that recognition remains reliable regardless of the tray used and allows the system to distinguish between small and large portions. For operations, cafeterias, or kiosks that do not use trays, we recommend our LED Base Plate. It clearly indicates to guests exactly where items should be placed.

If a dish is offered again, it does not need to be trained again. You can train new dishes using just a single photo. This takes only a few seconds and can be done right before serving.

Billing can be based either on plate size (e.g., small, medium, large) or by weight using a scale. You can easily connect your existing scale to the system.

The Smart Corrector suggests similar-looking items for correction. This not only keeps the checkout process moving smoothly but also allows the visioncheckout to continuously learn.. If preferred, corrections can be restricted to staff members only.

No problem, recognition and booking work offline as well. The visioncheckout only requires an internet connection to learn new items. This offers the advantage of being able to centrally manage menus and items across multiple locations.

No. visioncheckout does not process any personal guest data. To ensure that such information is not transmitted to us, even inadvertently, we have implemented several technical and physical security mechanisms:

• The payment terminal is connected directly to the POS system, not to visioncheckout.
• The payment terminal is located outside the scanning area, so the payment process is not captured by the camera.
• Irrelevant background objects are automatically blurred immediately.

Background objects such as ID cards or smartphones are automatically blurred instantly. This happens locally on the device, even before any data is saved.

We exclusively use German servers that are subject to GDPR compliance. All endpoints are secured via API key and TLSv1.3.
